Tired of wearing the same dull House colours day in, day out? Then Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions is going to make your day.
Recently Headmaster Felix made it clear he was going to change rules surrounding the dress code at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Currently, students are only allowed to wear their house colours during weekdays. Felix stated “I get bored of seeing the same colours every day. I want to promote the individual Witch and Wizard”. During a meeting between Madam Malkin and Headmaster Black, they came to an agreement that lets Madam Malkin keep her rights to sell school clothes, as long she is able to provide all house clothes in different colours.
When asked, Madam Malkin responded with great enthusiasm. “I can already see all the happy faces of the students. Everybody can wear his or her favorite colour!” she said, “I only hope people do know which colours match. You can’t have a Hufflepuff student wearing a pink trimmed robe. Those colours just don’t match!”.
In addition to the new colours for House clothes, it’s been said Madam Malkin is working on special clothes for the holidays. “Who doesn’t love Christmas? Your clothes should reflect what you feel, therefore I am going to make special clothes for the holiday season, starting with my latest creation for Halloween”.
In the end, it is all up to the students to decide what they want to wear. It might be that most students feel comfortable in their current robes, or don’t want to stand out. But one thing is for sure, Hogwarts shall transform into a more joyful school where every individual is welcome.
